If you’re on the hunt for a good toe nail fungus treatment, it probably won’t be very straightforward. While there are many choices in the marketplace, some are effective but others might be useless, or worse, dangerous.
I had the problem starting in my early 20s (and I’m 57 now), so it’s been around a long time. Eventually I got some good information and got it sorted out. Although I wasn’t afraid to show my feet in public, I wasn’t proud of how they looked either!
Just because something worked for me, it won’t necessarily work for you, so please make sure you do your own research properly. Ensure you look at:
* Prescription remedies from your physician
* “Natural” products from your local pharmacist
* Products you’ve seen advertised in the trashy magazines. Yes, some could be very effective!
* Home remedies of various kinds
Treating toe nail fungus can be a lengthy process – maybe up to a year or more. Make sure you keep up with whatever solution you’re using, in case the fungus has developed a resistance.
I suggest you check these out throroughly.
* Go and see your physician. He may prescribe a treatment based on some kind of strong drug, which, while effective, may have unpleasant side effects. It may also be pretty pricey!
* Over the counter “natural” solutions. Your pharmacist is generally going to be very well trained, and will be able to advise on these solutions. Make sure you go and talk to them to get some ideas. However, bear in mind again that toe nail fungus is a tough beast to tame, and much of what your pharmacist may suggest may not be up to the task. Remember too that “natural” does not necessarily mean “safe”. Check things out properly.
* Home-based treatments. There are many, many potentially effective remedies based on normal household products, so make sure you look into these. There’s a ton of information in articles and e-books on the Internet, so try to keep at it untilo you find something that works safely for you.
* In extreme cases, surgery is an option, but as with any surgery, there are significant risks attached.
I suggest you start right away gathering some information to find what’s best for you. Like they say – “don’t delay, start today!
