Migraines Can Really Affect Your Life In A Terrible Way

You could be having a great day, everything is going right and then all of a sudden it hits you. Migraines can be the stopper of a good time and can put you in a bad mood quicker than ever.

There are many different symptoms involved with a migraine and they can affect each person in a different way. As a matter of fact, each time you have a migraine your experience may be a little to a lot different. While the affects can hit everyone differently, there are some commonalities in the symptoms.

Head pain during a migraine is a given. That is the first thing that you think of when you think about having a migraine. The head pain can be on the lighter end or can be a full blown throbbing headache. The throbbing that is common with a migraine often is felt in the temple area or in the back or sides of the head.

The pain from your migraine may feel like it is worse on the left side of your head than the right side or vice versa. It be a very uneven pain or it could be just a splitting pain all over. When you move your head it can feel like the pain is worse than when you hold your head still.

Many times a migraine can give you other symptoms other than the head pain. You can feel extremely sick to your stomach or begin vomiting when the pain from a migraine becomes severe.

Other times you will get an extreme sensitivity to light when a migraine comes on. The easiest ways to relieve the discomfort caused by almost any light source is to lye down in the dark and avoid almost any light at all.

If you are in a loud place when the migraine begins to come on you may notice that you are not very tolerant of the noise that surrounds you. Sometimes even the smallest of sounds can make your head ache even more when the migraine is full blown.

There are some really helpful prescription medications that are formulated just to help people that have migraines. These medications must be prescribed from a physician so if you feel like maybe the medication would be right for you, check with your doctor to see if he or she would prescribe it for you.

If your doctor does give you a prescription for a migraine medication, keep it with you everywhere you go. Migraines can come on very quickly and you never know where you will be when the next one hits. If you do not have your medication with you when the migraine hits, you could find yourself in a very uncomfortable position

Getting a migraine is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a person in any day. Talk to your doctor to see if you can get some medication to help with the migraines.
