<p>Juicing fruits and vegetable are especially good if you are the kind of person who doesn&#8217;t like solid fruits and vegetables. It is the new and modern technology that has allowed it to be a very easy way for us to make delicious juices. Unlike before, we don&#8217;t have to hand juice them anymore but can make unlimited amount of juice by simply putting them in the juicer machine.</p>
<p>Fruit and vegetable juices are very important to our body&#8217;s health and fitness. If you search hard enough you will realize that there are juicer recipes specific for diseases such as colds, fevers, diarrhea, constipation..etc.</p>
<p>If you want to simplify things for yourself, it&#8217;s advisable you buy a juicer machine. Save your self all the energy and money from going back and forth to market. Plus the juices will be a lot healthier and more natural if they are home made.</p>
<p>Fortunately, there are unlimited juicer recipes out there for you to choose from. If you want nutrition from fruits or vegetables or even both alike, there&#8217;s always a recipes out there.</p>

<p>The super berry to take the world by storm in 2009 is called the maqui berry.  The reason it will be super popular is because it has the most antioxidants of any fruit.  It has the highest ORAC (antioxidant value) of any fruit in the world by over twice as much.  In case you didn&#8217;t know, ORAC is the leading third party site to do independent honest reviews of antioxidant levels.</p>
<p>The maqui is still less popular then its competitor acai.  This is because the acai was discovered by Oprah far before the maqui was discovered.  As more people learn about maqui, more people start buying it.  It won&#8217;t take long before the world knows about it.</p>
<p>The most popular berry out right now is the acai berry.  The reason is solely due to it being featured on Dr. Oz and Oprahs website.  Their popularity and authority in the industry made millions of people search for it.</p>
<p>The maqui berry isn&#8217;t a name you hear every day like acai.  This is because it is less than a year old since the United States has discovered it.  With the nutrients in it that are so good for you, it wont take long before everyone and your mother has heard about it.</p>

<p>The benefits of juicing are all factors of the ingredients you put into. While each category of ingredients has its own strengths, overconsumption of anything is dangerous. So it is important, just like eating, that we try as wide a variety of foods as possible. Constantly look for new juicer recipes and try fruits and vegetables you&#8217;ve never seen before.</p>
<p>One of the ways juicing helps a lot of people are where the texture or particular taste is unappealing. While I always believed, just as you acquire a taste the same is true in reverse. Use juicing as training wheels to eating vegetables.</p>
<p>The primary reason vegetables juicing is recommended over fruit juicing is because of the high levels of sugar in fruits. For some people who must watch their sugar levels fruit juicing adds too much sugar into their daily intake. Fruits also lack chlorophyll which is a reason for anyone to consume lots of green.</p>
<p>Chlorophyll is what makes the plants green and what else it does for the plant is really not the topic of this writing. What it does for you, however, is. Chlorophyll does many things to keep the body running at peak performance. It helps cleanse the body and serves as an antiseptic as well as a stimulator for the cells. In an interesting way, it also helps the creation of red blood cells.</p>
<p>The true benefit of chlorophyll is that it helps the blood. All the cleaning and antiseptic stuff is what the blood is suppose to do. Chlorophyll, by being so similar to hemoglobin, the part of the blood that carries oxygen and is what you are really benefiting, increases the amount of hemoglobin making your blood healthier and more effective. The body can convert chlorophyll to make hemoglobin and that makes the blood better at doing what it does.</p>
<p>In fact, consuming sufficient amounts of chlorophyll consistently over an extended period of time has reported numerous health benefits. Among some of the most immediate benefits are increases in blood count, alleviates blood sugar problems, and relieves gastric ulcers on top of the already mentioned benefits of detoxifying and cleansing.</p>
<p>Knowing that chlorophyll is what makes vegetables green, any vegetable contains chlorophyll and more in more green vegetables. But the ultimate richest sources of chlorophyll are from alfalfa, barley grass, chlorella, spirulina and wheatgrass. Depending on where you&#8217;re from some of these produces may not be readily available. Do your best to vary the ingredients in your juice regularly.</p>
<p>Of the mentioned, chlorella is important for another reason. Chlorella contains high levels of vitamin B12 that is often found in animal products, and rarely in other vegetables. Some vegetarians get in trouble from a lack of B12 when it is easy to obtain chlorella tablets manufactured specifically for that purpose. Crush a tablet and mix it into your juice. Yummy.</p>

<p>It is common to see acai juice in a supermarket nowadays. The juice is made from a little berry called the acai berry. The berry is found largely in South American rain forests, in swamps and floodplains. The trees on which this fruit grows on is a type of genus Euterpe palm tree, usually referred to as the acai palm tree for short. They are native to Central and South America, from Belize southward to Brazil and Peru. </p>
<p>The acai berry is green when young. A young acai berry can be light green but its color darkens and turns purple as the berry ages. The small berries grow on top of the acai palm trees in bunches, similar to grapes. While the fruit is tiny, its stone inside is large in comparison. The stone makes up about 80% of the acai fruit. Each berry contains only a small amount of the acai pulp which is the best part of the fruit. </p>
<p>Eating the acai berry can make you healthy. People native to the Amazon believe that the berry has miraculous power. They have recognized the nutritional and medicinal benefits of this fruit for centuries. People in Brazil and Peru would drink the acai juice made from pulping the fruit or they might just consume the acai pulp itself. </p>
<p>In the US, people care a great deal about their health. They welcome any healthy fruits including the acai fruit. But, there are no acai palm trees in the US so there are no acai fruits. Therefore, instead of eating the fruit, people in the US drink acai juice. As the demand for acai juice increases, more manufacturers start producing more and more products containing extracts from the acai berry.</p>
<p>In the past, few companies manufactured acai juices but now that they know there is demand for them,  few juice companies do not have products with the acai berry on their labels. Sambazon is one of the leading companies with a lot of popular acai juices and other products. You can buy Sambazon products in most grocery stores. MonaVie is another company whose acai juice has taken the market by storm. MonaVie is an MLM company and only sell their acai juice through their distributors.</p>
<p>No matter where you buy your acai berry, you need to do your research beforehand. You can find out a lot of about berry as well as its nutritional content before you make a purchase. By doing so, you will be able to avoid falling for scams. There are many scams that take advantage of the acai berry craze nowadays. <p>Aronia prunifolia, aronia melanocarpa, and aronia arbutifolia are all types of aronia berry plants, also known as chokeberries. Aronia prunifolia is the purple chokeberry, which is most rare. Aronia arbutifolia is the red chokeberry, which is the most sweet. (Almost sweet enough to eat streight.) and  Aronia melanocarpa is the black chokeberry, which is the most special of all, for it&#8217;s immense health benefits. Often grown in many gardens because of its pleasing appearance, these shrubs are part of the Rosaceae family, native to and common throughout North America.</p>
<p>The bitter taste of the juices from these berries is the reason it was named &#8216;chokeberry.&#8217; Despite this, it has been used in many different countries throughout Europe for the making of wines, jams, flavoring beverages, and yogurts. Here in the US, we have only been using it (until recently) for dyeing clothes! </p>
<p>Containing such phytonutrients as peonidin, malvidin, pelargonidin, petunidin, delphinidin, quercetin, caffeic acid, epacatechin, cynadie3-glactoside, and anthocyanin, this berry is not only high in flavanoids, but also very high in antioxidants. Studies have shown that the antioxidants properties of this berry have been extremely helpful in the prevention of liver failure, eye inflammation, peptic ulcers, cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer and other oxidative stress related conditions. </p>
<p>It may be hard to believe, but even the United States department of Agriculture (USDA) has signed off on the wonders of aronia berries. In a 2007 report they published, comparing 277 common foods found in North America, they chose Black Chokeberries as the food source that has the very highest ORAC score of all! This basically means that there is no other food known to man with as high a level of antioxidants, at least not that grows in North America. </p>
<p>The chokeberry was used for health and medicinal purposes as far back as the Native American Indians and early settlers. Since then there have been many claims by other fruits that they are the healthiest. So sadly, the chokeberry became less and less popular as these other fruits gained their popularity. Now that people are eating healthier, and science has evolved enough to allow proper testing, the chokeberry is becoming more common and has reclaimed it&#8217;s throne again.</p>
<p>Not only does the aronia berry have a very high level of antioxidants, it is also very rich in several other vitamins, including vitamin c, vitamin e, vitamin b2, vitamin b6 and folic acid. If you research this berry you find there are several lists of positive factors relating to this berry, including but not limited to the quantity of antioxidants, prevention of heart and cardiovascular problems, and its anti-inflammatory properties. <p>A pomegranate, one of the true superfruits, needs warmer climates with cooler but not icy cold winters. You will find them in some of the warmer US states, although these are only introduced in recent history&#8230; The pomegranate is native to the area of East Africa and India, and even more common in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Turkey.</p>
<p>The flower and the pom fruit are bright red. The fruits themselves are full of nine essential vitamins and minerals including Calcium, Vitamin C, and Potassium. The average calories per cup of fruit is usually around 100, making this a nutritious and low calorie treat.</p>
<p>Simply strain it from that point, then you can start to eat it. You can eat the seeds as well as the fruit surrounding it, (the entire arils) but most people just eat the fruit off the seeds. </p>
<p>Throw away the white pulp and rind. Strain and rinse the fruit and put in a bowl. Now you are ready to eat it. You can eat the seeds with the red fruit. If you just eat the fruit and leave the seeds, (which is very slow-going) you have the bonus of being able to lay them out to dry. Once they are dried you can ground them up to season foods, or you can use them whole in a variety of dishes, including hot main meal dishes and your favorite cool desserts.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t like the first method of how to eat a pomegranate, you can use the fan method instead. In this method the fruit is divided into halves. The halves are sectioned, but not all the way through. Turning the halves upside down over a bowl, you can push the back of the fruit and pull on the sides dropping the seeds into the bowl underneath, or you can simply tap on the back (top) with a kitchen utensil and the fruit should just fall out. Discard the rind and white parts again, and you are ready to eat.</p>
<p>Of course you could opt for the original way, which has serve mankind moderately well for a millenia now. Grab the fruit off the tree and peel back part of it with your fingers. Dig the seeds out, pop them in your mouth and eat. But be careful! If you do this at home, you can use a spoon instead to scoop the seeds out into a bowl. Be very careful of the juice using this method, it will stain anything that it comes into contact with. If you get it on your clothes, counter tops, or even just your hands it is very hard to wash out.</p>

<p>Acai berry research is just starting to get into gear now. For such an obscure plant, found only deep in the amazon, this is actually quite an achievement! Of course, having hundreds of celebrities and thousands of people of high standing in North America all insist that the acai berry has helped boost their metabolism and/or helped them lose weight may have something to do with this success. No matter where you look on TV, in magazines and on the internet, there are multiple ads making these claims. There are innumerable reports available on research of the acai berry. The acai berry is harvested in Brazil, and a few other countries in South America, from the acai palm, which grows on the banks of the amazon river. Naturally, Brazil is the head runner in the farming and production of this berry and its products.</p>
<p>There are so many different reports, almost all claiming something different on what the antioxidant value of the acai berry is. One report states that it is lower in antioxidants than the list of fruits already on the high-antioxidant value list. Another report denies this fact and says it is equivalent or higher in value than the fruits on this list. Actual product marketing naturally shows it to be much higher still. </p>
<p>Fruits are always healthier, with many more nutrients in them, when eaten fresh. However, since the acai berry grows very far away and in climates that are not present in the United States, getting it in this form is impossible for Americans. So the Brasilian producers have found ways to freeze-dry it and powder it, but the people who are manufacturing it this way are destroying some of the nutritional value by adding to it. They are trying to give it a longer shelf life by adding ingredients to preserve it. They are trying to stretch it for bigger profits by adding ingredients to bulk it up.</p>
<p>The United States&#8217; FDA is at this time neither approving nor denying the acai berry&#8217;s nutritional value. They are not researching it at this time, since it doesn&#8217;t grow anywhere under their jurisdiction. That means there will be no forthcoming FDA official reports about it. They figure since it will not be a crop that is ever grown in the United States, they don&#8217;t need to worry about researching it. Brazil is the main area that grows this product, and the exportation rules are governed by their government. </p>
<p>Research at the University of Florida has recently shown that the effects of acai on leukemia cells has had a very positive reaction. It seems that instead of actually destroying the cells, it has caused a reaction that causes the cells to destroy themselves&#8230; Some medical researchers are claiming that their studies will show that the acai berry is going to be the new wonder cure for almost every ailment the human race suffers from&#8230; Assuming other scientists can reproduce these results.</p>
<p>Several manufacturers of products containing plant sterols have just been authorized by the US FDA  to add to their labels that these products help prevent coronary heart disease. Acai berry is well known to be very high in plant sterol content, and so far this has been the one health claim that acai can make but no one has countered.</p>

<p>The acai berry is named one of the best superfruits because it has so many vitamins, nutrients, minerals and almost everything that your body would need to be healthy. Health is important to most people and if they can eat something natural that is good for them, then most people would prefer it to taking pills. This is why the acai berry has been popular and gaining popularity lately.</p>
<p>Nowadays, most people have heard of the term antioxidants and free radicals. The acai berry is high in antioxidants that are effective in fighting free radicals especially peoxynitrite free radicals. Some scientists say that the acai berry has the highest amount of antioxidants when compared to other fruits but the jury is still out on that fact. No matter which fruit has the highest level of antioxidants, the acai berry is no doubt one of the top performers.</p>
<p>You may have heard the term anthocyanins. The acai berry has a large amount of anthocyanins in it. The main anthocyanins in the acai berry are cyanidin-3-glucoside or C-3-G and cyanidin-3-rutinoside. These are just two potent antioxidants in the acai berry. There are more antioxidants present which makes the acai berry a good source for fighting again many types of free radicals.</p>
<p>Many people take supplements that contain essential fatty acids. The acai berry is good source of essential fatty acids. The acai berry is a small berry but about 50 percent or more of its dry weight is fat. If you were to extract oil from the acai berry, then you will find that the acai berry&#8217;s fat is about 60 percent monounsaturated and 13 percent polyunsaturated. This makes the fatty acids profile of the acai berry similar to that of olive oil.</p>
<p>Your body also needs protein. Fortunately, the acai berry is also high in protein content. This makes the acai berry unique since most fruits are not good sources of protein. Some acai berry has very similar protein profile to an egg. However, not all acai berries are alike in terms of protein content. Some have higher and others have lower. This depends on the acai palm trees that they grow on.</p>
<p>When talking about the nutritional profile of the acai berry, you cannot forget that the acai berry has a lot of vitamins in it. There are many vitamins including vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. The acai berry pulp is where most of the vitamins are. This is why, when choosing an acai juice, you should look for one with the acai pulp in it, not a pulp free one. When drinking the acai juice, you will have most of the vitamins that your body needs.</p>
<p>It is not surprising that people eating the acai berry or drinking the acai berry juice can stay healthy and strong. The acai berry is packed full of nutrients, vitamins and minerals as well as fiber and everything else that we have already discussed. You will find that you have lots of energy when eating the acai berry. The berry is also low in sugar which makes it even healthier.</p>
